Hola and a very Happy New Year 2019 to everyone reading this. This post was due from over two weeks but as I was travelling and busy being on a vacation, I couldn’t really find the time to write this one. And now that we are at the peak of feeling the chilly weather, I am sure all your summer clothes have been back sided in the wardrobe and the winter sweaters, shawls and warmers have taken over, haven’t they? Now imagine going out with your friends for a brunch or a casual get together, everyone is packed head to toe in their warmest clothes and in such a way that there are multiple layers of clothes to make sure the fun isn’t interrupted by the cool breeze, how would the fashionista in you stand out and yet be able to give it a cosier look? Let me tell you how! These winters let your flowy dresses and maxis be a saviour. Fashion is something that’s trending and style is something that’s eternal. When you wear something that’s not meant to be “appropriate” for the seasonal demand, you are bound to make your style do the talking. Don’t get me still? Scroll down to read more-
And before you scroll down more, here’s exactly what you need to make sure you have the cosiest winters and still look stylish while wearing those summer maxi dresses-
- Boots are the smartest thing to invest in winters. Can you relate with me when I say that I am always too dicey whether to buy sweaters every winter as winters really last for like 2-3 months, so I feel it’s better not to splurge on winter shopping? Yes, you can relate now, can’t you? I for shiz can confess and tell you that I still hoard my winter clothes back from the 11th grade and I remember how I used to wear them with jeans and go for tuition classes. They still take me back down the memory lane and which is clearly one reason why I feel it hasn’t been too long since I passed out from school (counting years in the head… oh damn! it’s been 8 and a half years… dead!) So yes, smart shopping always for the win. Boots are definitely worth spending money on. Almost everyone has a cold foot during winters, therefore boots are sure to make you feel warm throughout.
While I also feel, accessories and footwear are the easiest way to distract someone from noticing if your outfit isn’t new or your sweater is old for that matter which gets me to my next point-
- Warmers or leggings are yet again something that can keep you warm from within and you definitely should wear them beneath the maxi dress so that you can trick others with your style and still feel cosy all the time.
- Another important thing is belts of different prints and sizes. Yes, they look uber chic with a loose outfit as they easily make an ill-fitted outfit look put together and therefore when you choose to wear a sweater over a maxi dress, make sure to cinch the waist with a classy belt to pull off the look even better.
- Lastly, you know we have all been mix matching from quite some time now. That’s the real drill. Whether it’s a print or a plain pattern, what’s the colour that is playing the dominant role? Pair up your outfit by mix-matching the colours and Voila!
Now, have a look-
