If life is a book and the years that we live in this book of life are its chapters, we are all turning the last pages of this chapter “2017”. It makes me wish to move my fingers through its pages once again before I head on to start the newest chapter 2018. Just how a chapter’s last page summarises the crux, highlights and most importantly the lessons learnt, this year has given me enough reasons to have gratitude towards each and every lesson learnt and take it with me as I smell the freshness of the first page of the brand-new episode 2018…
Sharing with you’ll a few of these lessons that’ll make you relate to them to a great extent:-
1. Just Because It began Differently, Does Not Define Its End
With a heavy heart, I left my last job to shift back to my hometown due to some personal reasons and so this year began with me being jobless and attending line of weddings, functions, etc and all I could think of was- “What am I even doing with my life?” This was clearly how my year began with.
But today, while turning the last pages of the chapter 2017 I close my eyes and take a deep breath to take in every inch of positivity and right decisions that I took at the right time to make me reach where I see myself today not just professionally stable but also as an aspiring blogger, influencer, writer and I truly see it just as a beginning to the biggest goals yet to be achieved.
Today I feel, what if I had not made the right choices or grabbed the best opportunity at the right time, I wouldn’t be writing this article in the first place itself. One of the biggest opportunity that came along with this year was to become an author at a very established and well-known blog- The KN clan by two amazing sisters. That was the biggest driving force that gave me the recognition and a platform to have the ability to pour down my thoughts from every field I was passionate towards whether it was fashion, beauty or in general, lifestyle. And yes, I was asked by a lot of people, why am I even working for free? But that’s not the biggest driving force to do or work on something every time. The driving force should and will always be your passion!
3. Dust The Negativity Off Your Shoulders And Turn Your Back On People Who Pull You Down
Not everybody is happy to see you grow and that’s the truth of life. I experienced this at a very early stage when I started seeing a sudden change in the behaviour of people and friends close to me. Some friends distance themselves from you, some start laughing at you, some become envious of you and that’s when you know you are actually growing. But when you are determined to achieve your dreams, you should never look back. Even a small step forward makes the biggest difference. Some days are low, some people say extremely bad things and it shakes your morale to the core but you have to get up and keep moving forward or basically just become deaf to negative comments and blind to negativity in general around you.
4. You Can’t Convince Everyone To Believe in You But That Doesn’t Mean You Stop Believing in YOU
The biggest problem with people who don’t wish to believe in you is that they can’t and won’t accept the fact that you are actually walking on the path of your dreams while they are sceptical about what they want from their own lives. The moment you are sure of what you want from your life, it doesn’t matter whether others wish to stand by your side in your beliefs. The worst thing you can do to yourself is giving up on your beliefs because it was not convincing enough for others to believe in them.
5. You Are Only Getting Closer To Achieve What You Didn’t Get In This Year
Even if you didn’t get what you longed the most for in the beginning of this year, DON’T GIVE UP! Always believe that you are only getting closer to your desire with the coming year. And so, be patient! Your good time is just approaching near.
In the end, I wish to thank each of my readers… Let’s grow into an even bigger family. Let’s uplift each other. Let’s become more positive in the coming year and finally wishing you all A very Happy New Year- 2018!
Lots of Love,
