What is fashion? Anything that’s trending and becoming “the hype”, literally. So many of us “including me” have this tendency of “not repeating” our clothes (for at least few months :-p) especially if our #OOTD is out their on social media, right? But it wasn’t later I started realizing that it really is not economic to only splurge and not save. (Independence teaches you things only for good reasons!) I decided to break this monotony and to “repeat in style”. I guess my whole definition of shopping & fashion has changed lately. Now I tend to buy more such clothes that are basic and I try to wear styling them differently every time. After all, who says you need to burn a hole in your pocket to look stylish?
So, a few months ago, I bought this mustard high neck jumper from H&M. Mustard is, by the way, one of my most favourite colours of the season. This top is oh-so-perfect for this weather as the material is light and doesn’t make you feel too hot but at the same time gives you enough protection from the cool breeze and winds outside.
The Basic- Brunch Look
For a casual brunch, I chose to pair this top with high waist denim. To accessorize, I just chose tassel earrings and backcombed my hair in a slight pouffe. Lastly, I slid into tan fringe flats and I was good to go.
Wear Your Summer Dress Like A Pro This Winter Season
Who says you need to put your summer dresses aside because winter is here? Repeat them in style as they tend to notch up your overall look. So I wore this mustard jumper/ high neck underneath my slip dress and to give it a subtle look, I wore nude coloured leggings. Accessorised with big hoop earrings, a mid waist belt and slid into my mid heel boots and I was ready to head out for an event.
Casual Formal: Saturday Office LookCorporate life leaves you puzzled (I mean in terms of fashion, of course) especially when you are working even on Saturday *disappointed face* You are open to wearing casuals but still not be way too casual, you know what I mean, right? So I went on to wear another favourite colour pants- olive is really trending these days! These ruffle pants with an attached belt work best for office wear and complete your casual look in style.
For a shopping day out, again I wanted to wear something that’s super easy to put on and off while changing clothes in a trial room. Picked up these straight palazzo pants and tucked in my top. Slid in my most comfy yet stylish gold flats and well carried this tan tote bag because it’s much needed when you are out on a shopping spree.
Layer Up In Style
Layering is really the best resort during a cosy morning of December. This sleeveless woollen shrug does complete justice to this mustard jumper. So layer like a pro this season and look uber stylish.
Amp Up With A Twist
For a casual outing with friends to hog on some local market food, I wanted to be comfy. Paired this top with a flared printed palazzos and accessorised with a choker scarf. Now that’s a combo many of us wouldn’t even think of!
So these were a few ways I styled my jumper with different bottoms and pieces. Trust me, I still can think of more ways to style it but more other winter looks are coming up soon on the blog. Until next time-
